
About the Role
Our client in the consulting environment is looking for an experienced Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer with extensive experience in a consulting Engineering office. This role is based in Upington. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Apply sound knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies to provide technical support to Clients.
• Prepare feasibility and implementation-readiness studies, technical reports, proposals, and O&M manuals for water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Perform complex engineering designs and hydraulic analysis of bulk water and sewage infrastructure systems and prepare technical specifications and drawings.
• Conduct process audits, troubleshoot plant operations, and identify opportunities for performance improvements.
• Extensive experience in mechanical, electrical, control & and instrumentation engineering, related to water and wastewater treatment.
• Lead design phases, manage contracts, and maintain communication with clients throughout project life cycles
Requirements
BSc/BEng/BTech or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
Professional registration (ECSA).
Minimum 8-10years’ experience in process design/ modelling for water and wastewater treatment plants.
Proven track record in water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, bulk water supply systems, pipeline conveyance, pump stations, and reticulation design.
Strong design capabilities and advanced computer and analysis software skills with the following:
EnviroSim BioWin / DHI WEST or similar wastewater process modelling software (Essential)
HECRAS
EPANET/PCSWMM
AutoCAD Civil 3D
Revit
KYPIPE Surge analysis software
Willing to relocate to Upington.
Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
