About the Role

Our client in the Engineering Sector is looking for a QC Inspector Level 2 who has at least 3 years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or similar sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Welder performance is monitored to ensure compliance with all requirements and to ensure safety and quality.
• Under performance/non-performance is immediately addressed and where required, recorded, and reported to the relevant supervisor.
• Visual inspections or detailed inspections are performed as prescribed or required.
• Inspection before welding is conducted.
• Welding procedure sheets are up to date.
• Welder/s are qualified, and qualifications are verified.
• Calibration certificates, material certificates, consumer certificates are available and valid.
• Parent material identification is verified against documentation and markings. e. Welding consumables required are identified and available.
• Inspections are performed during welding to ensure that welding is following the drawings, weld procedures and application standards.
• Inspection is performed after welding to determine acceptability of appearance of welds as well as conformity with drawings and standards requirements.
• Repairs required are identified and correct repair procedure is identified and implemented and recorded as prescribed.
• Load/s loaded off or on trucks or moved from one area to another.
• All company policies and procedures and in particular quality and safety procedures are complied with.
• Signals from assisting employees are observed.
• Any reasonable instruction is carried out and assistance is provided where required.
• All inspection data is recorded as prescribed.
• All relevant reports and documents are collated and submitted to the Quality Manager for approval.

Requirements


  • NQF level 4 Engineering Qualification

  • Must have strong Mechanical Background      in Power Station Environment.

  • Minimum 3 years of Experience in      the Milling Plant Maintenance

  • SAIW level 2 Welding Inspector Certificate

  • SAIW level 1 Inspector or Supervisor      qualification

  • Professional SAIW Membership

  • Valid driver's license
