About the Role
Our client in the power generation industry is looking for a skilled and experienced Draughtsperson. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate 3D CAD models and technical drawings of mechanical components and systems, working closely with engineers to ensure designs are translated precisely into manufacturing plans. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to producing high-quality design documentation in compliance with company and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings/specifications of mechanical components and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
• Produce graphical information and documentation to support manufacturing procedures and standards.
• Interpret mechanical design instructions from engineers and ensure compliance with company-specific drawing standards.
• Evaluate technical drawings for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company’s design requirements.
• Maintain document control, traceability, and proper filing of all design documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to troubleshoot design issues and propose solutions.
• Stay up to date with Autodesk Inventor features and other design software advancements, implementing improvements in practice.
• Contribute to innovation by participating in brainstorming sessions and suggesting new ideas.
• Ensure effective communication of technical information to internal teams and clients.
• Commit to continuous professional development to enhance personal skills and support company competitiveness.
Requirements
Relevant technical qualification.
Autodesk Inventor Certification.
Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in mechanical draughting or a similar role.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and MS Office applications (especially Excel).
Strong attention to detail, technical interpretation skills, and methodical work approach.
Flexible, self-motivated, and willing to learn company-specific processes.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
