About the Role
Our client in the mining sector is recruiting a highly specialized Digital Systems Integration Specialist to support digital systems deployed on Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMUs) within mining environments. The role focuses on ensuring digital systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely, acting as the technical link between operations, end users, and software developers. This is a unique opportunity for a technically strong, field-oriented professional who understands the intersection between explosives operations, mobile manufacturing units (MMUs), digital systems, and mining operations.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working on operational mining sites, engaging directly with operators, troubleshooting systems, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Systems Support & Optimisation
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for digital systems used on Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMUs).
• Analyse system performance and identify operational inefficiencies within digital applications and field systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to digital integration and operational optimisation.
• Validate and test system updates, fixes, and improvements before deployment to operational sites.
• Act as the technical interface between operations teams and software developers/OEMs.
MMU & Explosives Operations Support
• Develop a strong understanding of MMU operations, explosives application processes, and blasting environments.
• Support implementation and optimisation of digital applications used in explosives manufacturing and blasting operations.
• Assist operations teams with troubleshooting system-related operational challenges in the field.
• Ensure operational continuity and reliability of systems supporting explosives manufacturing processes.
Field Support & Stakeholder Engagement
• Conduct site visits across surface and underground mining operations as required.
• Support operators and end users with system understanding and application functionality.
• Gather user feedback and translate operational issues into actionable technical improvements.
• Work closely with operational teams, technical specialists, and OEM developers.
Training & Change Management
• Support training initiatives and provide technical guidance to trainers and operational teams.
• Assist with implementation of new digital enhancements and operational changes.
• Promote system adoption and best practices across operational sites.
Health, Safety & Compliance
• Operate within strict mining and explosives safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with all operational, legal, and safety requirements within high-risk environments.
