About the Role
Our client in the consulting environment is looking for a Tank Engineer who has a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the petrochemical sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Consolidate inputs from various stakeholders to set up a Design Review.
• Raise ISRs for various disciplines.
• Manage change in KMS.
• Raise DOSR for drawings.
• Set up Design Review and PHA.
• Conduct monthly Engineering meeting to manage process.
• Review Contractor performance and schedule in line with the project plan.
• Review and approve invoices for onsite execution and material orders.
• Place orders for services and purchases as required for execution of the scope.
• Conduct Tank Engineering evaluations.
• Review and finalize the repair methodology of tanks at hand.
• Review specific design parameters and assumptions utilized in the calculations.
• Prepare and finalize comprehensive tank scope of work.
• Conduct Value Engineering on the proposed repair methodology.
• Participate in Risk Assessments of tanks.
• Review and endorse Contractors Safety Methodology Statement and QA/QC documents.
• Participate in weekly Tank Coordination and Project Update meetings.
Requirements
· BSc, BTech, N Dip (Mechanical Engineering) or similar
· Ability to get on with people.
· Sufficient authority to manage Contractors.
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
· Attention to detail.
· Project management experience and ability to manage projects.
