About the Role
Our client is a leading multisector consultancy delivering engineering, management, and development services across a wide range of infrastructure and development projects. They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural engineering operations and ensure successful project delivery. The role demands technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for mentoring and collaboration.
• Deliver structural projects independently as assigned
• Lead design teams and ensure technical excellence
• Manage timelines, contracts, and budgets
• Maintain client relationships and expectations
• Use analysis tools (Robot, Revit, Prokon, AutoCAD)
• Ensure compliance with QA, Health & Safety standards
• Review own and others’ work for accuracy
• Prepare reports and present to stakeholders
• Monitor team progress against schedules
• Mentor junior engineers and promote development
• Support Project Managers with delivery and budget control
• Collaborate across disciplines
• Apply SANS design codes and private sector experience
• Grow and manage client networks
Requirements
Minimum BSc in Structural Engineering (additional qualifications welcome)
Professional registration with ECSA
Minimum 8–10 years post-registration design experience
At least 10 years of structural engineering consulting experience
Attention to detail and technical capability
Strong grasp of technical standards and project delivery
Ability to lead technical teams
Proficiency in BIM and design software
Skilled in MS Office 365 and collaboration tools
