About the Role
Our client in the engineering sector is looking for an experienced Pavement and Geometric Project Engineer with strong contract management knowledge. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Design and implement road infrastructure projects.
• Review concrete pavement materials.
• Mix designs and maintenance of the concrete mix register.
• Plan projects, establish project criteria.
• Coordinate project reviews.
• Contract documentation and administration of civil engineering contracts.
• Prepare and evaluate specialist geometric designs.
• Prepare technical reports and cost estimates and liaise with other professionals.
• Develop and implement discipline, specific technical practices, specifications, and procedures.
• Facilitate and assists with the tender and adjudication process leading up to contractor appointment
and site handover.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage the design procurement and construction of discipline specific.
• Responsible for the commercial and technical execution and delivery of medium and large-scale
projects
Requirements
BSc or BEng. degree in Civil Engineering with a demonstrable focus on road construction and contract expertise.
Pavement and Geometric design experience
Professional registration as an Engineer with ECSA (PrEng) is mandatory.
A valid driver’s license is a prerequisite.
A Minimum of 15 years of pertinent post-graduation experience within the consulting engineering sector, inclusive of significant involvement in design and contract documentation.
