About the Role

Our client is looking for an Electrical Control and Instrument Design Engineer with at least +5 years’ experience in mining or petrochemical/oil and gas industry. Duties will include but not limited to the following:

• Develop instruments for measuring, monitoring, and collecting data.
• Preparation of project schedule, manpower requirements & DCR
• Ensuring incorporation of respective design codes/standards
• Ensuring the preparation of documents as per quality check lists
• Ensuring timely completion of a project
• Progress Monitoring
• Inter-Discipline Coordination / Meetings
• Instrument Index (INTOOLS/Excel), System I/O List
• 3D Modeling (Main cable Tray, Field Instruments, F&G Instruments)
• Layouts (Instrument Location, Main Cable Tray, Main Cable and F&G Instruments)
• Instrument Data Sheets, Wiring Diagrams, Loop Diagrams
• Control System Block Diagram, Cause & Effect Diagram, Control Logic Diagram (for DCS & ESD Vendors)
• Instrument Bulk MTO, Instrument Cable Schedule, Instrument Cable Specification


  • Engineering qualification

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in the mining or oil and gas/petrochemical industry.

  • Proven consulting, design, and execution experience

  • Knowledge of i.e PDS, SCADA, PLC, APC or Smartplant Review (SPR)

  • Proficient in design software AutoCAD, Microstation, Inventor and SmartPlant Review (SPR).
