About the Role
Our client in the consulting engineering firm is looking for a Business Development Manager with at least 10 years’ of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Assist in the growth of the client’s business.
• Nurture and maintain a positive image of the company and its integrity, business principles, and capabilities.
• Consistently develop synergistic partnerships and long-term relationships with existing and potential customers/clients and enhance their satisfaction of the company’s services and solutions.
• Ensure that customer/client expectations and objectives/goals are being achieved to establish a long-term trust relationship.
• Ensure that the business under his/her control is profitable.
• Compile budgets and schedules to meet the account’s needs and enforce deadlines for projects as required by customers/clients.
• Establish, maintain and improve the business relationship between the customer/client and the company.
• Ensure and maintain the stability of a competent and motivated workforce (i.e. contractors/consultants) under his/her control.
• Meet business targets and budget.
• Generate new business.
• Identify risk areas and impact.
• Identify projects and new initiatives.
Requirements
· Must have a Degree level qualification
· Minimum of 10 years of sales and account management experience
· Strong team management experience
· Software knowledge Sage 200 and 300, Sage intact, Pastel Partner
· Must be able to work in a pressurised environment
· Excellent verbal and written confirmation
· Good understanding of the tender process
